Minister, MP Launch Kendriya Vidyalaya Project in Jagtial

Welfare minister Adluri Laxman Kumar and MP Dharmapuri Arvind laid the foundation stone for a Kendriya Vidyalaya at Chelgal in Jagtial district, with the state pledging support for educational development.

Welfare minister Adluri Laxman Kumar on Sunday said the state government would extend support for development of education in Telangana.

He, along with Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind, laid the foundation stone for a Kendriya Vidyalaya at Chelgal in Jagtial district.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said the land identified for the school originally belonged to farmers and that five acres from the Water and Land Management Training and Research Institute (WALMTARI) had been allocated following efforts by local MLA Dr M. Sanjay Kumar.

He thanked Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for allocating the land and said the government would provide assistance for strengthening education infrastructure.

Laxman Kumar said steps would be taken for the development of Jagtial district and urged the MP to bring more educational institutions to Dharmapuri constituency. He said quality education was being provided to students in SC and ST welfare gurukulam schools.

MP Arvind thanked the Chief Minister for allotting land for the Kendriya Vidyalaya and sought an additional five acres for future expansion. He said efforts would be made to secure a Sainik School for the Nizamabad parliamentary constituency and a Krishi Vigyan Kendra for Jagtial.

Government Whip and Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas, legislators Sanjay Kumar and Medipally Satyam, collector B. Satyaprasad and others were present.
