President of India Droupadi Murmu presented the National Florence Nightingale Awards 2025 to nurses on May 30. The award ceremony was organised at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi.
The National Florence Nightingale Awards were started by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India in 1973 to honour those individuals who have done significant work in the field of Nursing.
Every year President of India honours 15 personalities with this award in the field nursing across the country.
The recipients of the award receive a gold or silver medal, a certificate of merit, and cash prize of 100,000 rupees.
