Delhi Reports 104 Active Covid-19 Cases
No recent fatalities; hospitals asked to stay prepared amid mild rise

Delhi has reported a total of 104 active COVID-19 cases, but authorities said the situation remains under control and there is no cause for panic. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday said the city’s hospitals are fully prepared to handle any surge in cases and have been directed to stay alert.
“We have analysed the scenario and there is no panic situation,” Gupta told reporters at an event, adding that an advisory has already been issued.
According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s COVID-19 dashboard, Delhi recorded 99 active cases last week, with 24 patients recovering in the past week. There have been no COVID-related fatalities reported in recent weeks.
Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Singh on Friday said that 23 cases had been reported till Thursday and authorities were verifying whether the infected individuals, who were tested by private labs, had recently travelled outside Delhi. He added that the circulating variant presents symptoms similar to seasonal flu.
Meanwhile, hospitals have been asked to ensure preparedness, including the availability of beds, oxygen, essential medicines, and functional equipment such as ventilators and BiPAP machines.
