Delhi Man Shot Dead By Bike-Borne Assailants In Dayalpur
Police identify accused and probe multiple angles, including personal enmity, behind the murder

A 40-year-old man with a criminal history was shot dead by unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants in northeast Delhi's Dayalpur area.
New Delhi: A 40-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified persons in northeast Delhi's Dayalpur area, police said on Tuesday. The victim, Rashid, received multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
A video purportedly of the incident showed three men arriving on a motorcycle, with two of them wearing helmets. The three are seen getting off the vehicle, opening fire on the victim, and riding away.
"Rashid was a known bad character (BC) of the area and had previously been found involved in cases related to extortion, grievous hurt, theft and other criminal activities. Both the deceased and the accused belong to the same community," a police officer said.
The officer said that the accused involved in the crime have been identified and multiple leads about their whereabouts have been received.
The police said CCTV footage from the area is being examined to identify the riders. T Several angles as motives behind the murder, including enmity, are under probe.
