No Mechanical Issues Found: Air India CEO on AAIB Report
Wilson reiterated Air India's commitment to safety, adding that all aircraft in the fleet are undergoing rigorous inspections

New Delhi: Air India CEO Campbell Wilson said the initial report by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) into the recent Air India plane crash has not identified any mechanical or maintenance issues with the aircraft or its engines. He urged the public and media to avoid drawing premature conclusions, as the investigation is still underway.
"The AAIB's preliminary findings did not identify a specific cause for the accident nor did they make any recommendations at this stage," Wilson said. "We continue to cooperate fully with the authorities and are conducting all necessary checks on our fleet, and will implement any additional measures they may recommend."
Wilson reiterated Air India's commitment to safety, adding that all aircraft in the fleet are undergoing rigorous inspections. "As always, the safety of our passengers and crew remains our highest priority," he said.
