Lok Sabha Adjourned Till 4 pm Amid Ruckus
Opposition's sloganeering on various issues disrupted the proceedings of the Question Hour

Amid these tributes, the Lok Sabha witnessed continuous uproar from the opposition benches over Operation Sindoor and other matters, leading to the adjournment of proceedings till 4 PM on the opening day of the Monsoon Session.
Before the disruptions, the House paid homage to the victims of several recent tragedies, including the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives.
“Twenty-six innocent persons were brutally killed in the terror attack at Pahalgam. This act of terror was an attack on the consciousness of the nation and the entire world,” said Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, reiterating the country’s resolve of zero tolerance against terrorism.
The House also mourned the deaths of 260 people in the June 12 Air India crash in Ahmedabad, which included 241 passengers and 19 crew members. Former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was among those who died in the accident.
“This House expresses its heartfelt sympathies to the families of the victims of this accident,” Birla said.
In addition, members expressed grief over the loss of lives caused by natural disasters—such as heavy rains, floods, and landslides—across different parts of the country.
Despite the solemn beginning, the House could not proceed with legislative business due to opposition protests, resulting in an early adjournment.
