Indian Navy Chief in US for High-Level Defence Talks
During the visit, the Indian Navy Chief is scheduled to hold discussions with senior officials of the US Department of Defense.

New Delhi: Amid the ongoing Quad naval exercise Malabar in Guam in the Northern Pacific, Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi is on an official visit to the United States from November 12 to 17.
The four-nation Quad exercise Malabar, involving India, the United States, Australia, and Japan, is being conducted from November 10 to 18.
Admiral Tripathi’s visit aims to further strengthen the maritime partnership between the Indian Navy and the United States Navy, which remains a key pillar of the India-US Defence Partnership.
During the visit, the Indian Navy Chief is scheduled to hold discussions with senior officials of the US Department of Defense.
He will also meet Admiral Samuel J. Paparo, Commander, US Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM), and Admiral Stephen T. Koehler, Commander, US Pacific Fleet (USPACFLT), along with other senior naval leaders and dignitaries.
These interactions will provide an opportunity to review ongoing maritime cooperation, enhance operational-level linkages, and strengthen mechanisms for information sharing and maritime domain awareness between the two navies.
The visit will also include engagements with key naval institutions and operational commands of the US Navy. Discussions are expected to focus on shared maritime priorities in the Indo-Pacific region, as well as collaboration within multilateral frameworks such as MILAN and Combined Maritime Forces (CMF) initiatives.
India and the United States share a long-standing maritime partnership rooted in mutual trust and shared democratic values.
“The visit by CNS underscores the Indian Navy’s commitment to deepening cooperation with the US Navy towards realising the vision of a free, open, inclusive, and rules-based Indo-Pacific,” the Indian Navy said in a statement on Wednesday.
