FM Sitharaman to Move Appropriation Bill in Lok Sabha Today
Several Union Ministers will lay official papers on the Table of the House

New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will on Monday move the Appropriation (No. 4) Bill, 2025 in the Lok Sabha, seeking authorisation for payment and appropriation of additional sums from the Consolidated Fund of India to meet expenditure requirements for the financial year 2025–26.
The Lok Sabha will convene at 11 am with a packed agenda that includes Question Hour, laying of papers, committee reports, and major legislative business. According to the List of Business, the Finance Minister will seek the House’s permission to introduce the Bill and move it for consideration and passage. The Bill relates to supplementary financial requirements for various government services during the current financial year.
The House will begin with obituary references to former Members of Parliament Subhash Ahuja (Sixth Lok Sabha), Prof. Salahuddin (Eighth Lok Sabha), and Bal Krishna Chauhan (Thirteenth Lok Sabha). This will be followed by Question Hour, with questions and answers listed separately.
Several Union Ministers will lay official papers on the Table of the House. These include ministers from the Ministries of Culture, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Education, Finance, Labour and Employment, Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Tourism, and Corporate Affairs.
Reports of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) for 2025–26 will also be presented. KC Venugopal and Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy will table the Thirty-fourth Report on irregular grant of incentives and allowances, and the Thirty-fifth Report on action taken on recommendations related to the National Social Assistance Programme.
Under committee-related business, Kanimozhi Karunanidhi and Malvika Devi will present the Final Action Taken Statement of the Standing Committee on Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, relating to recommendations on Demands for Grants.
In the Statements by Ministers segment, Pankaj Chaudhary will present four statements on the status of implementation of recommendations of Standing Committees on Finance, covering Demands for Grants, cyber security, and rising cyber and white-collar crimes. All statements will be made in Hindi and English.
Additionally, Tourism Minister Suresh Gopi will make a statement on the implementation of recommendations from the 379th Report of the Standing Committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture.
The agenda will conclude with Matters under Rule 377, followed by discussion and voting on the Supplementary Demands for Grants for 2025–26 and further consideration of cut motions moved earlier this month.
