Delhi Blast Plot: Accused Planned Multi-Car Attacks

According to sources, the accused had begun modifying an i20 and an EcoSport for potential use in the blasts and were preparing two more old vehicles for similar attacks

New Delhi: Intelligence agencies have uncovered a larger terror conspiracy linked to the recent Delhi blast, revealing that the accused planned to ready more vehicles with explosives to carry out coordinated attacks across multiple locations.

According to sources, the accused had begun modifying an i20 and an EcoSport for potential use in the blasts and were preparing two more old vehicles for similar attacks. Around eight suspects were allegedly tasked with executing explosions at four locations, moving in pairs with multiple improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

Among those under scrutiny are individuals linked to past terror cases, including Red Fort blast accused Dr. Muzammil, Dr. Adeel, Dr. Umar, and Shaheen. Investigators believe the accused jointly raised ₹20 lakh for operational expenses, using a portion to buy 20 quintals of NPK fertilizer from Gurugram and Nuh to prepare explosives.

Sources revealed that Dr. Umar created a Signal group for secure coordination. Dr. Muzammil reportedly became inclined toward Ansar Gazwat-ul-Hind, an ISIS offshoot, between 2021 and 2022 after contact with associates of slain terrorists.

Meanwhile, Faridabad Police seized a red EcoSport linked to Dr. Umar Un Nabi, the prime suspect. Delhi Police later confirmed through DNA testing that Umar was the man killed in the car blast near Red Fort. His remains matched his mother’s DNA sample, confirming his identity.
