Delayed Flight And No Update: Siraj Slams Air India Express
Responding under Siraj’s post on X, the airline said its airport team was assisting affected passengers and expressed regret for the inconvenience

Guwahati: Air India Express on Thursday announced that its Guwahati–Hyderabad flight (IX 2884) had been cancelled due to “unforeseen operational reasons.”
The clarification came after Indian cricketer Mohammed Siraj publicly criticised the airline for delaying the flight and failing to communicate with passengers.
Responding under Siraj’s post on X, the airline said its airport team was assisting affected passengers and expressed regret for the inconvenience. “We truly appreciate your patience and understanding… our team will continue to keep you updated,” it said.
Siraj, the Indian fast bowler, had earlier expressed frustration over the lack of information from the airline. The flight, scheduled to depart at 7.25 pm on Wednesday, was repeatedly delayed without explanation, he said.
“Flight delayed by 4 hours and still no update has left us stranded. Worst airline experience,” Siraj wrote on X, advising passengers to avoid the flight due to poor service.
