Minister Jogi Ramesh Counters Pawan's Complaint to PM on Mega Housing

Vijayawada: Housing minister for Jogi Ramesh took objection to TD and Jana Sena chiefs Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan spewing venom against the Jagan Mohan Reddy government's achievements without any corroboratory evidence.

Saying Pawan Kalyan’s letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on AP government’s mega housing programme is full of lies, Ramesh challenged the JS chief for a discussion on the charges levelled.

“I will prove them to be false,” he underlined at a press conference he addressed here on Sunday.

The minister pointed out that Pawan Kalyan has alleged corruption in procurement of land for construction of houses for poor across the state. He released details of sites procured and houses constructed. He charged the opposition of trying to deprive 30.65 lakh elder sisters from constructing houses on the plots allotted to them.

Ramesh asked Pawan Kalyan to see for himself how development is going on around Kakinada and rest of the districts in AP. He underlined that today, there are more than 17,000 Jagananna colonies, where construction of houses is underway. Village after village are being built at a fast pace across the state.

The minister maintained that it is wrong to write a letter to Prime Minister saying a scam has taken place in houses given to poor women of upper castes, BCs, SCs, STs and minorities. He maintained that he is also writing to Narendra Modi with full details on the 13 issues pointed out by Pawan Kalyan. He underlined that not a single-rupee corruption has taken place, as all payments have been online.

Ramesh reiterated that Jagan Mohan Reddy is working for the people and has deposited Rs 2.50 lakh crore directly into their bank accounts.
