Hearing on power tariff hike in Feb

The new tariff will come into effect on April 1

HYDERABAD: The TS Electricity Regulatory Commission (TSERC) will conduct a public hearing on the aggregate revenue requirement (ARR) and filing for proposed tariffs (FPT) filed by the two power distribution companies (discoms) for the financial year 2022-23.

The new tariff will come into effect on April 1. The discoms have sought a Rs 0.50 per unit hike in power tariff.

The first public hearing will be held at Cooperative Electrical Supply Society (CESS) Limited in Sircilla on February 18, 2022.

The TS Northern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSNPDCL) has scheduled its public hearing at Hanumakonda on February 21 next. The TS State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSSPDCL) will hold its public hearing at Wanaparthy on February 23 and in Hyderabad city on February 25, 2022. Public hearings will start at 11 am on respective dates.

The TSERC invited comments and suggestions on Wednesday, and written copies of comments and suggestions to be submitted to the TSERC office at Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad till 5 pm of January 28, 2022.
