Hyderabad: An elderly couple from Hayathnagar was killed in a road accident when the bike they were travelling in rammed into a stationary truck on Sunday. The police booked a case on the truck driver for stopping the vehicle on the road without any indications.
Hayathnagar inspector K. Satish said that the accident took place at about 4 pm near Ananya Resorts. Matta Naga Malleswara Rao, 65, a retired bank employee from Lecturers Colony, along with his wife M. Indira, 58, were heading home after attending to some work. When the bike reached the main road at Ananya Resorts, the truck in front of them stopped suddenly.
“Malleswara Rao could not control the bike and rammed into the truck. The couple fell and died on the spot. A case has been booked against the truck driver,” said the inspector.
