Bengaluru: As many as 2,000 cops are keeping a hawk eye on the anti-social elements who may throng Brigade Road and M.G. Road to ring in 2019.

A special team will be monitoring all the revellers on CCTV cameras installed in and around Brigade Road Junction.

Meanwhile, over 100 policemen from Whitefield division police and North East division police carried out a road show in their respective divisions to ensure safety and security of citizens.

DCP Abdul Ahad told Deccan Chronicle that 100 cops on Hoysalas and police bikes took out a vehicle parade in the division to ensure safety and security. However this year, the use of drones has been prohibited by Home Ministry.

“The vehicle parade was carried out from Ramagondanahalli to the office of deputy commissioner of police,” he added.
