Predictions are also to caution people, say seers

Out of the 100 prophesised, just 30 to 40 are likely to be as forecast, astrologers said.

Hyderabad: All astrological predictions might not come to pass. Out of the 100 prophesised, just 30 to 40 are likely to be as forecast, astrologers said.

“Our predictions are to caution people so that they take preventive steps. We cannot have an answer for everything that has not happened as we do not have information on what steps they took to prevent them,” astrologer Venuswamy said

Astrologer, Ram Sharan Sharma, who wrongly predicted ill-health for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Ministers K. Chandrasekhar Rao and N. Chandrababu Naidu too had an explanation.

“The predictions are based on gocharam (na-me, nakshatra, raasi), but the main thing is the fate of their jatakam which depends on God,” Mr Sharma said.

He said Mr Modi “might have performed something to please God”. Mr Rao performed the ‘Ayutha Chandi Yagam’ and recovered, he said. Mr Naidu was performing ‘homams’ and ‘yagams’, he said.

Mr Simhambhatla Subba Rao, who also predicted health issues for Mr Modi, Congress former president Sonia Gandhi and others, said, “There is no rule that all our predictions will happen 100 per cent. Some may and some may not. Unless we get details of the jataka chakram of all the leaders, it is difficult to predict based just on their gocharam.
