CPI seeks details of treatment to late CM
Chennai: CPI on Friday joined the chorus seeking details on treatment given to deceased chief minister Jayalalithaa citing the comments made by Madras high court judge.
Pointing out that no doubts were raised on the treatment provided to former chief ministers CN Annadurai and MG Ramachandran as the government was officially giving out details on their conditions, CPI state secretary R. Mutharasan, in a statement, said that failure of the state government to follow the precedent in providing details on Jayalalithaa’s treatment has given rise to suspicion and doubts over her death.
“Why did not the government issue any statement on aliment suffered by Jayalalithaa and treatment given to her? How she responded for it?” he asked.
He urged the state government to release full details on the treatment given to former chief minister.
