Supreme Court Collegium nominates Andhra Pradesh High Court Chief Justice

The collegium then resolved to recommend the name of Justice Maheswari.

Vijaywada: The Supreme Court Collegium headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi has recommended the senior most judge from the Madhya Pradesh High Court J.K. Maheswari for appointment as Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court.

The collegium had earlier recommended Justice Vikram Nath of the Allahbad High Court but the recommendation was returned for reconsideration by the Centre. The collegium then resolved to recommend the name of Justice Maheswari.

Ch. Praveen Kumar is presently serving as the Acting Chief Justice.
