Panel visits Bollarum hospital

The hospital, which SCB claims a 30 beded facility hospital was opened by Union defence minister in 2016.

Hyderabad: The committee appointed by Secunderabad Cantonment Board to give recommendations for strengthening of the General hospital in Bollarum visited the facility on Wednesday. The hospital, which SCB claims a 30 beded facility hospital was opened by Union defence minister in 2016, but it is not fully functional due to lack of enough doctors and medical faclities.

SCB vice-president J. Ramakrishna and Ward 8 member J. Lokanatham, who are part of the committee discussed with doctors and patients visiting the hospital from nearby localities.

Mr Ramakrishna stated that SCB will be seeking the help of TS health department and leading corporate hospitals in twincities to improve medical facilities in the hospital.

“At present the hospital has general physicians only. We want to offer treatment for specialities like ortho, gynaec, cardiac initially and later would like to expand further,” he said.
