Hyderabad: The Metro Water Board recently hiked the rates for water tankers. But due to public outcry the board agreed to taper the increased rates.
The revised rates shall come into effect from September 1. “The revision shall not affect the common man as water supplied through the tankers is only of miniscule percentage of the total supplies which have improved after the Krishna and Godavari augmentation phases,” said Mr M. Dana Kishore, managing director – HMWSSB.
