Telangana Chief Secretary SP Singh asks L&T to finish work before November

L&T said there were still some properties which needed to be acquired between Ameerpet and Hi-tec City.

Telangana: Telangana state Chief Secretary S.P. Singh has directed L&T to complete work on the Miyapur-SR Nagar and Nagole-Mettuguda Metro Rail stretches of Hyderabad Metro Rail, stating that there was a strong possibility of Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurating the two stretches in the last week of November.

L&T has submitted its latest progress report to the Chief Secretary and said there were issues to be resolved. It said work on the Oliphanta bridge was likely to be completed by the end of the month, and a huge contingent of workers had been deployed at the Ameerpet interchange to complete its construction as early as possible.

L&T said there were still some properties which needed to be acquired between Ameerpet and Hi-tec City. 237 properties were pending acquisition in the three corridors.
