Guntur: The farmers of Amaravati Capital region sought beginning the Amaravati development works with immediate effect during the APCRDA workshop-cum-awareness programme on World Bank aided roads and flood management project.
CRDA director (land) B.L. Chennakesavalu and APCRDA strategy director J.S.R.K. Sastry and competent authority officials explained about the flood management project and roads to the pooled farmers at Neerukonda and Venkatapalem on Wednesday.
The farmers said they willingly offered lands to the APCRDA under Land Pooling Scheme but the delay in development works was disappointing them.
Mr Chennakesavulu said 10 highways and another 10 sub-roads would come up in the Amaravati capital region and that the APCRDA would form “citizens committee” to resolve the complaints of farmers.
