Telangana: No murder bid in Vikram Goud case FIR

If proven that Vikram shot himself police would charge an Arms Act case against Vikram for using the firearm.

Hyderabad: The police is likely to drop the charge of attempt to murder from the FIR in the Vikram Goud case. Investigation officials think that the allegations of Vikram and his wife are not true. If proven that Vikram shot himself police would charge an Arms Act case against Vikram for using the firearm.

“The probe team is yet to get a convincing explanation from Vikram Goud. He has been evading many questions and giving only one line answers claiming that he was attacked. But there is no circumstantial evidence to back up his claims,” said a senior police official of West Zone.

Police strongly suspects that Vikram shot himself with a firearm. “If it is proven that he shot himself there will be a case against him as he does not have a licence to use a firearm,” said an official.

Meanwhile, the police is still searching for an important clue the firearm used for shooting Vikram. Police thinks that recovery of the firearm can debunk the claims of Vikram along with clues from CCTV footage.

Vikram, the son of former Andhra Pradesh minister M. Mukesh Goud was mysteriously shot at his residence in the wee hours of Friday at Banjara Hills. Vikram suffered two bullet injuries on his right shoulder and stomach. The police could not find any evidence of anyone breaking into the house. All evidence and clues found so far by the police and the CLUES team indicate that the bullet injuries of Vikram Goud were self inflicted.
