Hyderabad: After prolonged protests, students of Sri Konda Laxman Telangana Horticulture University began hunger strike against the failure to fill the posts in horticulture department lying vacant for 14 years. Of the 300 protesting students, two sat on hunger strike as they din’t get any response from the state govt.
The students plan to continue the hunger strike until their demands are met. They alleged that the government failed to recognisee the horticulture sector in telangana state. In spite of the demand, the state government has not recruited any horiticulture extension officer or agriculture extension officer in the agriculture department.
