Hyderabad: A 57-year-old assistant sub-inspector who was undergoing training died of heart attack on Sunday at the district Police Training Centre (PTC) in Karimnagar.
The ASI, P.V.V. Prasad, hailed from Bhadradri Kothagudem district.
This year three cops died while undergoing training at the Karimnagar PTC.
Police Training Centre officials said Prasad was undergoing training at the centre for promotion as SI. "At around 2 am he suffered a heart attack and we took him to hospital but he was declared dead," deputy superintendent of police Bhim Kumar said. Prasad joined the three month training in May. Prasad's body was sent to Kothagudem, his original place of posting, the official added.
