KCR away, but Congress goes to camp office
Hyderabad: A delegation of farmers led by Gadwal Congress MLA D.K. Aruna and former Nagarkurnool MP Dr Mallu Ravi turned up at Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s camp office on Sunday when he was said to be away.
A computer data operator at the camp office collected the representation they had prepared for the Chief Minister.
Ms Aruna and Dr Ravi said they had been trying to seek an appointment with Mr Rao for 10 days but it did not materialise. They decided to meet him on Sunday to represent the plight of farmers who would lose their land to the Uddandapur reservoir, which is part of the Palamur-Ranga-reddy project. Dr Ravi said the reservoir was not needed.
Security staff at the camp office stopped them at the entrance, on the Begumpet road. After much persuasion, Ms Aruna and Dr Ravi were allowed inside, where Dr Ravi gave the representation to the data operator.
Ms Aruna said “it is not proper of the CM Minister not to arrange an officer incharge.
