Rs 986 crore for Telangana in 6 months through stamps and registrations
Hyderabad: As many as 2,73,306 documents related to land, plots and flats were registered with respective sub-registrar offices from January to June this year — a growth of 5.83 per cent over the same period last year when 2,58,250 documents were registered. This year, stamps and registrations department earned Rs 986 crore in the first half of the year, '183 crore more than what was earned in the same time in 2015.
Realtors said sales had gone up due to the new projects. P. Prabhakar, a realtor from Gachibowli said land value has gone up in Ranga Reddy west, from Gachibowli to the Police Academy junction. The Pharma City project led to a rise in sales at Maheswaram and Kandukur. The Yadadri project gave a boost to the sector from Boduppal to Jangaon. He said compared to Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai, realty prices were on average 30 per cent lower. The Yadadri development project and the Hyderabad-Warangal industrial corridor also led to a rise in registrations at Uppal, Boduppal, Narapally, Medipally and Ghatkesar.
