Paid parking at Mysore Road Metro station

Sign boards have been placed to inform the commuters of the commencement of parking and the charges.

Bengaluru: The contractor who was granted tender by the BMRCL for parking of two-wheelers and four wheelers at the Nayandahalli metro station on Mysore Road will commence collection from Sunday. In the meantime, the contractor will continue paving the entire parking lot.

Officials said the paving may take about 2-3 months as the area is about 2 acres. In order to have orderly parking, we have permitted the contractor to charge from Sunday.

The parking at Mysore Road is our largest parking area and can hold about 1700 two-wheelers and 250 four-wheelers. We need a professional agency that can handle this type of parking and hence have permitted to collect parking charges from Sunday itself.

Sign boards have been placed to inform the commuters of the commencement of parking and the charges. For two-wheelers it is Rs 15 for four hours and Rs 5 extra for additional hour.

The maximum for the full day is Rs 30. For four-wheelers, it is to Rs 30 for four hours and Rs 10 for every additional hour and for full day it is Rs 60.

For LCV it is Rs 75 for four hours and Rs 25 for every additional hour and Rs 150 for full day. For cycles its Rs 1 per hour and Rs 10 for full day.
