Hyderabad: The AP government has agreed to the request from its Telangana state counterpart to conduct certificate verification for students from Telangana, who wrote the AP Eamcet.
A few students from TS had got ranks in both AP Eamcet and the now-cancelled TS Eamcet-2. Most of them preferred joining in medical colleges in Telangana states and did not attend certificate verification process held earlier this month in AP. The NTR Health University also declared web options dates for medical aspirants to chose colleges for medical and dental seats.
With the TS Eamcet-2 cancelled, some rankers from TS approached TS health minister C. Laxma Reddy, who spoke to his AP counterpart Kamineni Srinivas,who agreed to conduct certificates’ verification process for a single day for rankers from Telangana. Students from TS are eligible for seats in AP medical and dental colleges in 15 percent non-local quota.
