Naidu Becomes Restless After Seeing Jagan's Governance: Minister Roja

Tirupati: Tourism Minister R.K. Roja has criticised Telugu Desam national president Nara Chandrababu Naidu, saying he lost his senses and is becoming restless after witnessing Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy's good governance.

“The TD’s manifesto is nothing but the peak of Naidu’s madness. He failed to fulfill even six out of the 600 promises he had given in the 2014 manifesto, after which ruled the state for a full five years,” she told the media here on Wednesday.

Describing TD's manifesto highlighted at the party’s annual Mahanadu, she said it was Telugu Desam’s charge-sheet against YSRC prepared by an incompetent person (Naidu).

Roja said there was no cheat in the country like Naidu. “Naidu had criticised the Amma Vodi scheme but how has he included it in the TD’s manifesto now in another name,” she asked.

“Naidu functioned as CM for 14 years. Now, out of the blue, he is promising ₹1500 per month to women. Why did he not do this in the past? He is also making a false promise to provide 20 lakh jobs if he comes to power and also promising unemployment allowance to the youth till they get the jobs. Such is his track-record, however, that nobody would be fooled by such promises again,” the minister said.

She said Naidu copied three schemes from the YSRC, two from the Karnataka Congress and one from the Karnataka BJP to craft TD’s new manifesto.”

Mentioning about Kadapa MP, Avinash Reddy’s anticipatory bail petition, the minister said, “If someone is not beneficial to the TD, its leaders make desperate attempts to tarnish that person’s character. In the case of Avinash Reddy, Justice Lakshman's comments are indicative of this.”

“The high court has stated that there was no evidence or contradictory testimony against Avinash Reddy. But Naidu’s yellow media is disseminating false information. If Avinash had committed any crime, why did Naidu as the then CM not take any action against him,” she asked.
