Intermediate classes to start tomorrow in Telangana

All government and aided colleges have been scheduled to conduct state formation day celebrations the following day.

Hyderabad: Intermediate classes will begin on June 1, according to the annual calendar released by the Board of Intermediate Education on Monday. All government and aided colleges have been scheduled to conduct state formation day celebrations the following day.

The colleges will have 223 working days; June to have the most number of working days at 25 and October, with the Dasara holidays, the least at 15.
Annual theory exams will be held in the first week of March, while praticals are scheduled for first week of February.

The half-yearly exams will be held from September 23 to 29. Pre-finals 1 will be held from January 23 to 30, while Pre-finals 2 will be held in the second week of February next year.

While declaring a two-day holiday for Sankranti, the board ensured an almost 15-day break for Dasara and Bathukamma festivities from September 30 to October 12.

Post-bifurcation the government had directed the board to increase the number of holidays for Dasara and Bathukamma, cutting down on holidays for Sankranti, which is generally celebrated in a big way in AP districts.
