Kadapa: The percentage of literates in politics has been gradually increasing in Kadapa district.
A look at the candidates contesting for this election shows that there are so many engineers, doctors and advocates who have opted for the political combat. YSRC chief Jagan Mohan Reddy contesting from Pulivendula has done his Master's in business administration. His adversary, TD candidate Singareddy Venkata Satish Kumar Reddy, is a graduate with a Bachelor of Arts. Kadapa MP contender from YSRC Avinash Reddy has also completed his Master's in business administration. Both the brothers have same academic qualification.
For the SC-reserved Badvel segment, both the challengers from the major poltical parties, TD and YSR Congress, are doctors. TD candidate Rajasekhar finished his MBBS and has worked as a doctor at the Badvel Government Hospital. He took voluntary retirement to join TD. The rival, YSR Congress aspirant is an orthopaedic surgeon. He did MBBS and Master of Surgery (MS) in ortho.
Another reserved constituency is Railwaykodur where YSR Congress candidate Koramutla Srinivasulu completed his law degree. The advocate is pitted against TD candidate Panthagani Narasimha Prasad who is an engineering graduate.
Mr Mallela Linga Reddy, TD candidate from Proddutur is an advocate who practiced as a lawyer for a long time. The TD candidate from Rajampeta Batyala Chengalrayulu is also an advocate. YSR Congress candidate Meda Mallikarjuna Reddy also is a graduate. Mr G. Eswaraiah contesting as CPI candidate for Kadapa MP segment is also an advocate. The contestant form Rayachoti Reddeppagari Ramesh Reddy (TD) and Gadikota Srikanth Reddy (YSRC) both are engineers. Mr Adinarayana Reddy contesting as TD aspirant for Kadapa Parliament is post graduate and has worked as lecturer.
The TD aspirant from Jammalamadugu, Ramas-ubba Reddy, is an engineering graduate whereas the YSRC candidate Sudh-eer Reddy is an MBBS doctor. Mr Mithun Reddy, aspirant for Rajampeta Parliament segment has done master's in business administration while his opponent, TD candidate Mrs Satyaprabha completed PUC. Kamlapuram TD candidate Puttha Narasimha Reddy is also PUC qualified.
The YSRC aspirant from Kadapa Anjad Basha and TD candidate Ameebabu are graduates.
