Andhra Pradesh government's MoU with HCL for IT Parks

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and HCL Technologies chairman Shiv Nadar have signed the MoU.

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh state government has signed an Memorandum oof Understanding (MoU) with HCL Technologies Limited to establish IT centres at Vijayawada and Amravati providing employment for 5,000 people. The government agreed to allocate 17 acres of land at Kesarapalli near Gannavaram.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and HCL Technologies chairman Shiv Nadar have signed the MoU. Mr Chandrababu Naidu said that his government is committed to provide more opportunities for the young workforce in the state. The IT centres will help provide jobs to local youth, he said.

Mr Shiv Nadar said that creation of global centres at Vijayawada is part of expanding IT into non- metro cities. He hoped that the IT centre and training centre will help shape the career of youth. The first phase works with an estimated cost of Rs 300 crore will start in April they will start operations by August 2018.
