Chennai: In close heels of the Tamil Nadu Global Investors Meet comes the India International Leader Fair (IILF) where local artisans and manufacturers will showcase their products.
A unique feature this year- 'Greening the Leather,' highlighting the dexterity of Indian expertise in eco-friendly designs and development of high-quality weather will be focussed upon along with the commitment to various initiatives like Make in India, Digital India and Swachh Bharat.
The aim is to highlight the export prowess of Indian leather and to feature their achievements and technologies keeping in mind the need to be eco-friendly.
The three-day event of the International Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) is being held in association with the Council for Leather Exports (CLE), Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI), Indian Shoe Federation (ISF), Indian Finished Leather Manufacturers & Exporters Association (IFLMEA) and Indian Footwear Component Manufacturers' Association (IFCOMA)
The event will be inaugurated by O .Paneerselvam, Deputy Chief Minister at an inaugural event which will be presided over by M C Sampath, Minister for Industries, K.C. Karuppannan, Minister for Environment and other dignitaries.
