Settle row in UAE: Kodiyeri Balakrishnan
Thrissur: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has played down the much awaited press meet scheduled to be held in Thiruvanathapuram on Monday by the UAE native, who is the complainant in the alleged financial fraud against his son Benoy Kodiyeri. Speaking to mediapersons in Thrissur after announcing the preparations for the CPM state conference to be held here in February, he said that if media reports of Hasan Ismail Abdullah Al Marzooqi, the owner of JAAS Tourism LLC Dubai, who is presently in Delhi and would be visiting Kerala was true, he felt that there was no point in a UAE national roaming around in India and the best place from him to settle the matter was UAE and Dubai.
“My son has explained all matters regarding the issue and he is presently in Dubai. If the complainant has a further grievance in the matter, he can approach UAE authorities and Binoy is also presently in Dubai. The media and our political opponents have a notion that we are in great trouble now, But, nothing is going to happen,” Mr Kodiyeri said. Kodiyeri alleged that a Delhi-based journo who was playing the double role of a correspondent in both Delhi and in Dubai for his publication was behind the news regarding the financial fraud.
