Man dies fleeing monkeys
KARIMNAGAR: A man died of heart stroke after a group of monkeys attacked him while he was walking on a foot over bridge at the Ramagundam railway station on Friday. The deceased, 59 year-old Mohammad Ameeruddin, was a former employee of the Railways and belonged to Kazipet in Warangal district.
Ameeruddin collapsed while running away from the bridge to escape the monkeys. He breathed his last while being shifted to a hospital. The monkeys attacked him as he was eating bananas. He was in Ramagundam for attending a function held at his relatives' residence on January 28. He had come to the railway station to return, police said. Ameeruddin is survived by his wife and five children. He had undergone an open heart surgery earlier and was afraid of being attacked by the monkeys. Based on a complaint from the family of Ameeruddin the police registered a case.
