In addition, there would be forty trained fire fighting personnel to operate the fire-fighting infrastructure round the clock.

Hyderabad: All set for Numaish 2020, the 80th All India industrial exhibition (AIIE) will begin on January 1 and run till February 15, 2020.

The exhibition society said it has made foolproof arrangements for this year’s Numaish to ensure a safe and pleasant experience for everyone. As a part of it, they have bought their own fire-fighting equipment worth Rs 3 crore as well.

Fire extinguishers in every stall have been arranged along with 2 x 1,50,000 litre underground sumps, 2 kms of underground pipelines, 80 fire hydrants each with a 30 meter flexible hose to reach every stall in the exhibition grounds, according to the society members.

In addition, there would be forty trained fire fighting personnel to operate the fire-fighting infrastructure round the clock. There are to be six emergency exit gates in addition to three entry-cum-exit gates.

In this year’s Numaish, about 1,500 exhibitors, including state and sentral government departments, Public Sector Undertakings, Corporates and Multinational Companies, are participating.

On an average, every year about 20 lakh visitors attend the exhibition and the event is happening since last 79 years in the city.

In order to ease the commute for visitors, the Hyderabad Metro Rail has also agreed to run extra metro trains with increased frequency for the convenience of visitors to the exhibition up to 11.30 pm, at the nearby metro stations of Gandhi Bhavan, Nampally and MGBS. Special counters in the exhibition grounds for purchasing metro train tickets will make it that much easier.

Several departments, including the police, fire and disaster management, electricity, the greater Hyderabad municipal corporation (GHMC), roads and buildings (R&B), the road transport corporation (RTC), the Hyderabad metro rail, and others are working in coordination for the smooth conduct of the AIIE.
