Chennai: The latest to get 'hit' by MeToo is a woman, a one-time Kollywood celebrity actually.
Sowcar Janaki is facing heavy trolling after she slammed, rather in harsh and uncouth manner, in a video interview with comedian Y G Mahendra who egged her on to pronounce her verdict on the MeToo allegations that have hogged headlines in the media. And 'Sowcar' went berserk slamming the MeToo callers as being dishonest and indiscreet after having enjoyed the patronage of their 'victims' in the past.
"This MeToo is bothering me much, making me shun TV and newspapers. They are making such wild charges for cheap publicity, claiming something happened longtime back, or perhaps did not happen, or perhaps could have happened…" and so went on the ex-heroine.
While many slammed Sowcar for her harsh judgment of MeToo, Chinmayee tweeted that to be honest, she did cry after watching the interview-particularly the aged actor's brushing aside the women victims calling out their predators as making up an offence that could have happened or not happened--Nadandhadhu, Nadakkadhadhu, Sowcar had said in the interview.
"How MANY from the industry have shielded and protected predators? And the MeToo jokes — Slow clap", tweeted Chinmayee....
