Hyderabad: Traffic delay expected at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport road

Hyderabad: In view of certain private marriage function at Classic Convention–III, Shamshabad, RGIA Traffic PS limits, Cyberabad adjacent to NH-44 (towards RGI Airport, Kurnool — Bengaluru Highway), thousands of public and vehicles are expected at the above venue on Sunday from 6 pm to 1 am.

Also, road works are going on along the highway on the same stretch narrowing the carriage way. Hence, traffic delays can be expected.

In view of the above, following advisory is issued by Deputy Commissioner of Cyberabad Traffic police, S.M. Vijay Kumar

Public going to the airport are advised to take alternative roads to RGIA (i.e., ORR, Aramghar, towards Mailardevpally PS (right turn) to Laxmiguda to Jalpally to Airport road (or) from Chandrayangutta Chowrastha).

Commuters told to avoid PVNR Expressway to Airport or Kurnool/ Bengaluru road via Shamshabad as various marriages are scheduled on Shamshabad road along the NH-44.

Use ORR by entering either at TSPA junction, Rajendranagar (Himayatsagar entry), Gachibowli etc to go to Airport.

Traffic from Airport side (or) Bengaluru/ Kurnool high way towards Hyderabad city (Mehidipatnam side), shall use ORR/ Service road at Thondupally and get down at TSPA (or) Himayathsagar/ Gachibowli, etc.

Heavy transport vehicles going from Aramghar X road to Bengaluru High way will have to take 218 Pillar (left turn) Rajendranagar PS — NIRD — Himayathsagar — ORR entry near Chennamma Hotel.

All the commuters are advised to follow the above traffic advisory for better traffic movement and prevent traffic congestion and make their travel plans accordingly in the above alternative routes two hours early.
