Hyderabad: With two days left in 2018, the Cyberabad police have received information about illegal activities being carried out by Nayeem’s associate Sheshanna and Yellam Goud, a notorious fake currency racketeer.
According to reports, Yellam Goud, held by the Cyberabad police, is trying to make a come back.
In 2014, Goud was responsible for the death of a police constable Eshwar Rao, and injuring a sub-inspector during a decoy operation at Masjid Pura in Shameerpet.
Yellam Goud, who now goes by the name Mallanna, has reportedly kidnapped a government official from Pet Basheerabad and took him to Gajwel in order to extort money. The incident happened on Friday night.
It is also said that Nayeem’s associate, Sheshanna, who is still at large, is involved in land settlements in Cyberabad and the police also received hints about his illegal activities.
Responding to a query, Cyberabad commissioner, V.C. Sajjanar on Saturday said, “Both the issues have come to our notice and the facts are being ascertained. We will not tolerate any illegal activities and will take stern action.”
