Hyderabad: Keeping in mind the time that will be taken to divide employees between the High Courts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state, the Hyderabad High Court has decided to send some court employees to Vijayawada on a temporary basis, to ensure that the newly formed AP High Court begins functioning smoothly.
These employees will work from January 1, 2019 for a few days on a temporary basis until the final allocation takes place.
The High Court Registrar General Ch. Manvendranath Roy issued a memo on Saturday directing the staff attached to judges allotted for the High Court of AP, to continue their services at the new place for the time being.
The directions particularly mentioned the Court officers, Court Masters, Personal Secretaries, Office subordinates and the drivers, who will continue their services to the 14 judges allocated to the AP High Court and also mentioned that these orders cannot be considered as allocation orders, and the final allocation list would be issued separately.
Reacting to this, the employees' association said that this allocation might continue till the conclusion of the Sankranti vacation for the courts. However, they expressed their unhappiness at the facilities provided to employees who have to go to Vijayawada following the RG’s orders, especially about the accommodation for women staff.
With a deadline of just two days for the newly-formed AP High Court to start functioning, the members of the Judges Committee for the bifurcation of the High Court employees held a meeting on Saturday. The option forms of around 1600 employees will be considered for allocation, and the committee wants to complete the bifurcation process expeditiously, without any lapses.
The employees told DC that the committee has decided to immediately allocate those employees who have chosen AP as their option. Following that, inspection of records of the employees who have chosen Telangana as an option will proceed and then the final allocation will be made.
