Hyderabad: A licenced weapon, owned by a reporter working for an Urdu channel, was stolen by unknown persons in the city. The Saifabad police registered a theft case.
Nouman, a resident of Moghalpura, is working for an Urdu news channel. He was proceeding to his house in his car and was carrying the .22mm licenced weapon.
At Masab Tank, he parked his car and got down, leaving the weapon inside. After crossing Masab Tank, he noticed that his weapon was missing. He immediately lodged a complaint.
He told the police that the revolver was loaded with seven bullets and was kept on the seat when he got down.
Based on his complaint, the police registered a case and started investigation.
“We are working on clues. Based on the details, the investigation will proceed,” said a senior official from Saifabad. Nouman got the licence from the Hussaini Alam station in 2016.
