Bengaluru: One lakh devotees throng ISKCON

Special prayers were offered during the occasion and most parts of the temple were decked with flowers.

BENGALURU: Nearly one lakh devotees thronged the ISKCON temple in Rajajinagar, from 3 am till late night to celebrate Vaikunta Ekadashi on Friday.

Special prayers were offered during the occasion and most parts of the temple were decked with flowers.

"The deity was bathed in milk, ghee, yoghurt and fruit juices and adorned with silver based American Diamond jewellery," said Naveen Neeradadasa, Strategic Communication and Project Head of ISKCON.

A special door called Vaikuntadvara was opened at 5:30 am, followed by Nadaswaram programme.

"The special attraction was Lakshacharya at Govinda Temple, where devotees could take a selfie with Govinda. Nearly one lakh laddus and 10 tonnes of sweet pongal were distributed," he added.
