The Good Samaritan twins of Kurichy
KOTTAYAM: Twin brothers K.G. Biju Kumar and K.G. Ajikumar, 45, of Kallooparampil family at Kurichy have not lived apart ever since they were born within a gap of some two hours. They still remain bachelors because they are looking for brides who are twins like themselves sharing the same habits and interests.
Their parents, Govindan and Paru, died a few years ago and they have no siblings. They eat and sleep together and are also good farmers and distribute the farm products, especially vegetables, to the nearby schools free of cost.
They studied up to standard 8 and were initiated into farming at the age of 10. They cultivate the crops by taking lands on lease at places nearby Kurichy. They spend much on social service and are not worried about savings. “We would like to give much to society and never worry about savings,” Ajikumar who is five minutes elder to Bijukumar told DC.
“We eat from a single plate and need only limited resources which helps us to give the maximum to others. We produce good quality vegetables and give them to the needy,” Biju added.
The twin brothers have been giving organic vegetables to schools, including AV high school, Kurichy, Chigavanam government UP school, and the Kurichy government homoeo college for the past couple of years. They have also agreed to donate their organs after death.
