AIADMK hurt' by Madras High Court observation

\"The matter is in court and it will be dealt with legally (by the state government),â€party spokesperson C R Saraswathy said.

CHENNAI: AIADMK on Thursday said its cadre might have been hurt by the comments of a Madras high court judge and maintained that the matter will be dealt with legally.

“The judge can pose questions. We live in a democracy. However, words like he may order exhumation of the body have hurt the cadre. The matter is in court and it will be dealt with legally (by the state government),” party spokesperson C R Saraswathy said.

She said the party had fought hard to bring Jayalalithaa back to good health and wondered if it was possible to hush up matters such as the health condition of a top leader, especially when she was being treated not by one doctor but a panel of doctors.

PMK founder S Ramadoss demanded a CBI probe into the death of J Jayalalithaa saying that the questions raised by a judge gives credence to speculation about her passing away. PMK leader and Dharmapuri MP Dr Anbumani Ramadoss on Thursday threatened to stage a protest if the state government failed to release a white paper or CCTV footage of deceased former chief minister Jayalalithaa undergoing treatment in the hospital.

In a statement, DMDK leader Vijayakant said he welcomes the oral observations of the Madras high court judge and demanded that video recordings of hospitalisation of Jayalalithaa be made public.
