Telangana BJP legislators to give bank details on December 8
Hyderabad: Union labour minister Bandaru Dattatreya, five TS BJP MLAs and an MLC will submit details of their bank transactions after demonetisation of high-value currency notes on December 8 to party’s national president Amit Shah soon.
At the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had instructed party legislators to come clean on their bank transactions from the day of demonetisation.
On Tuesday, TS BJP president K. Laxman and MLA G. Kishan Reddy, who are in New Delhi, told DC that they will follow the instructions of party’s national president.
“We will submit details of all bank transactions from December 8 till date and also after December 30 when the deadline to deposit demonetised currency ends. We welcome the PM’s decision. We have instructed fellow legislators in the state in this regard. We expect a letter from Amit Shah,” Dr Laxman said.
The TS BJP leaders met Union ministers M. Venkaiah Naidu, Jagat Prakash Nadda, Prakash Javadekar, Nirmala Sitaraman and Radha Mohan Singh and others in New Delhi and urged them to take up developmental activities in the state.
