VIJAYAWADA: The decrease in Coronavirus infection rate is steady in all 13 districts of AP. Some 1,010 new infections were registered on the daily chart for Thursday and there were 13 related deaths in seven districts.
As many as 58,054 more samples were tested hich found 1,010 persons infected with the virus. AP so far tested 2,82,93,704 samples, the daily bulletin said, adding no new infection case was reported in Kurnool district.
A total of 1,149 patients recovered from the Covid in the past 24 hours. So far, a total of 20,24,645 patients have recovered in AP, against a total 20,50,324 positive cases, while 11,503 persons were currently undergoing treatment.
Five new Covid deaths were reported in Chittoor, two each in Prakasam and Guntur districts and one death each in East Godavari, Kadapa, Krishna and Nellore districts. There were a total of 14,176 deaths.
The single-day highest Covid19 positive cases of 218 was reported in Chittoor followed by 175 in East Godavari, 129 in Prakasam, 115 in West Godavari, 100 in Guntur, 84 in Krishna, 74 in Nellore, 60 in Visakhapatnam, 30 in Kadapa, nine each in Anantapur and Vizianagaram districts and the least number seven new infections in Srikakulam district. “No new Covid19 infection was reported in Kurnool district in the past 24 hours,” the daily bulletin said.
Meanwhile, two teachers at Chintalamadugupalli primary school in Vempalli urban area of Kadapa district have been diagnosed Covid positive. With this, the school was closed for four days, said MEO Virareddy.
