Mangaluru: Maintaining the suspense over selection of candidates for the 15 seats that go to byelections on December 5, BJP National General Secretary and Karnataka in-charge P Muralidhar Rao said that none of the disqualified MLAs have approached the BJP for membership.

Mr Rao who was in Mangaluru on Sunday told reporters that the BJP will contest and surely emerge victorious in all 15 seats. However he did not make it clear if the disqualified MLAs would be fielded by the party. “When the election is declared, our state  election committee will consult the local cadre,  look at winnability and then give the names to the central leadership who will declare the names," he said, adding, "This is the procedure we follow always.”
