Hindu outfits demand NRC

According to him, there are nearly four lakh Bangladeshi infiltrators already in Bengaluru and Ben galuru Rural alone.

Bengaluru: Rashtriya Hindu Andolana (RHS) under the aegis of the Hindu Janajgruti Samiti (HJS) and Hindu Maha Sabha (HMS), on Sunday held a protest rally demanding that the union government must expand the scope of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) across the country as ‘infiltrators’ exist everywhere. Besides this, the RHS also felt that the country is fully ready to implement the Uniform Civil Code in order to realize the goal of population control in the country.

Speaking at a rally here, HJS state spokesperson, Mohan Gowda said, “Bangladeshi infiltration is not just a problem of a single region (Assam), it is a pan India malaise. The union government must treat it as a countrywide problem, hence, the scope of the NRC must extend to all states in the country.”

According to him, there are nearly four lakh Bangladeshi infiltrators already in Bengaluru and Ben galuru Rural alone. “When in a state like Assam, 40 lakh infiltrators can live, can Karnataka be any different?,” he questioned. He add ed that unless the scope of the NRC is expanded, the real number of infiltrators will not be known to anyone.
