Nellore mayor Aziz seen inspected preparation works at Roti festival
Nellore: With just a day left for popular annual fete, Rottela Panduga, work continues on a war footing for elaborate arrangements to prevent any inconvenience to the lakhs of pilgrims expected from different parts of the country.
Parking places have been identified at Police Parade Grounds and AC Subba Reddy stadium and shuttle services are being arranged to transport pilgrims from railway station and RTC bus stand to Bara Shaeed Dargah, the venue of the festival, and back. Senior revenue and police officials inspected the dargah and Nellore tank.
The venue of the festival including the dargah and tank has been given a facelift following the initiative taken by Mayor SK Abdul Aziz and urban development minister P. Narayana.
