Families of Uri attack martyrs happy after surgical strikes along LoC

“Really happy that Indian Army took the initiative and conducted these strikes,†Vidyarthi's daughter Aarti said.

New Delhi: The family of S.K. Vidyarthi, the soldier who was killed in the Uri attack of September 18, was happy with the surgical strikes conducted by Indian Army along the Line of Control in Pakistan on Thursday in which 38 terrorists and 2 Pakistani soldiers were killed.

The widow of Havildar Ashok Kumar Singh, Sangeeta Devi, also hailed the surgical strike by the Indian army and demanded that terror masterminds like Hafeez Saeed should be taught a lesson. “Really happy that Indian Army took the initiative and conducted these strikes,” Vidyarthi’s daughter Aarti said.

Kill Hafeez, say Martyrs’ kin
The family of S.K. Vidyarthi, the soldier who was killed in the Uri attack of September 18, was happy with the surgical strikes. “This (surgical strike) is very good, but we would have been happier had it been done before,” said Vidyarthi’s wife, Kiran, who lives in Gaya district of Bihar,” she added.

Ms Sangeeta Devi said: “Unless India takes revenge from Pakistan, the martyrdom attained by Uri soldiers would go waste. Hafeez Saeed should be killed the way Osama Bin Laden was killed by the US a couple of years ago,” she demanded.

Soon after the Uri attack, Sangeeta Devi had said: “I want nothing less than the revenge for the loss of lives of the 18 soldiers including my husband.”
